The Concours d’Elegance of America at St. Johns, held annually in Plymouth, Mich. is an affair for millionaires that earns vast amounts of money. Brenda Priddy is an automotive photographer who ekes out a living shooting for a wide range of publications. Earlier this year, the Concours organizers used two of her photos for advertisements and a brochure cover. They didn’t tell her. They didn’t pay her. And they cloned out her copyright mark. She asked to be paid and they simply told her to walk. She is now trying to raise enough money to sue as they are in clear violation of several legal codes.
