Tourism is killing Taos... but the church at ranchos is in the middle of apretty much impoverished little town... at least, so it was when last I was there..

I've got photos of what was just across the street and down the lane from that magnificent structure - not so pretty.

back in 1985 I was determined to take a photo of the church that was not often 
photographed.. it was a drizzly day and that added to the atmosphere.

It's an intriguing image. I half expected the window in the picture to be a
door, but I presume the walkway continues, the door not even in the same
wall?
