Depends on your use. Photobucket appears to be just a kind of one-off
image hosting service. Useful as a place to stash a single image and
share a link to it. Personally I have limited use for that.

I prefer to be able to create galleries of related images as well as
sharing links to individual images. Flickr is still good for that,
though a few folks here have issues with it.

Tumblr seems to be quite good as a place for both small galleries and
single images. If you choose a clean profile template your Tumblr will
be nice looking too.

Both Flickr and Tumblr have been around for a long time and appear to
have years ahead of them, unlike many of the random image hosting
sites. Both are free to use too.

Some folks really like 500px. I don't, but you might, so have a look.

Not many realize it but Twitter allows posting images and sharing a
link to it. It's not the best looking place, but it's free and works.
And it renders images fast.
