Is that what that was about?
Fifty-five minutes after midnight I got a message I had been
unsubscribed from PDML. Then at about 8:46 am I got another message
welcoming me to the "PDML" mailing list.
I just checked on my Earthlink account & it doesn't look like that was
affected, which is kind of odd because I'm using Yahoo because
Earthlink's email servers keep getting blacklisted and my posts from
Earthlink end up getting bounced.

Well, not sure it crashed-crashed, but Doug contacted me on FB and told
me my prescence had caused countless of people to unsubscribe.
I might have taken that personally, but he said they were automatically
unsubscribed.
So here I had tried to sort of return to PDML unobtrusively and, well,
that didn't happen.
Using a different way to connect and a different email client now.
OBVIOUSLY:
1. I am just a powerful personality that tends to overwhelm people.
(Sheesh, I can't go anywhere.)
2. Or it was my last post in which I teased about PDML... What? You
guys are that easily offended? Getting older has made you
cranky (or crankier)? OR

Unsubscribe quick. These guys talk about tea/coffee, beer, bicycles,
motorcycles, and cars. And they crack bad puns all the time. (Unless
things have changed.)
Oh, occasionally, in between these topics and the standard gear talk,
they MAY talk about photography, but I wouldn't count on it.

Why are you people using my email address for you conversations
It's the sad reality of what happens when you subscribe to an email list.
---------------------------------
OR
3. Doug's reason. That is probably it.
"Hey Marnie, one of your emails from aol has triggered panic across the
email world, bouncing all over the place and resulting in a mass of
people to get automatically unsubscribed from the list. It was evidently
routed through an aol server that has been blacklisted everywhere."
I, personally, always blame AOL first anyway, just on principle.
And, well, I still have AOL 9 (last standalone before their web based
version). And I have HAD an AOL email account since, well, hard to say,
about 20-22 years? So I and probably about 3-4 million people, or
300-400 thousand, or whatever is left using this older version of AOL,
are probably in a dusty back room somewhere running on their oldest
server. The one still using duck tape and gerbils.
Anyway, SORRY.
(Although, personally, secretly, I think it's reason #1).
