I ruined my Super Program (Super A)'s aperture mechanism by removing an M42 adapter in a careless way. Fortunately, I had bought the camera with an extended warrantee, and it was repaired. The salesman advised me not to put an M42 adapter on again unless I intended to keep it on the camera.
