So not to beat a dead battery but.... Just to be clear: the nubbin is on the camera body at the battery compartment opening, it is at the bottom side. After moving that and the grey lever that releases the battery I was able to lever the battery up with a small pocket knife or screw driver. This was on the Q7 your model and experience may be different.

I see what you mean on the Pentax battery - the Wasabi battery that's in
it though does not seem to have anything to grab onto. It didnt shrink
overnight and I would up tearing off the label trying to pull it out, so
I'm going to try the epoxy approach. Gotta find something the right size
to glue onto the battery.
