Thanking your friend... as I was uncertain about _which- hummer (anna or
Costas).. and while I recognized kingbird I forgot his name. Flicker
and Mourning doveswallows, house Finch and house sparrow (which we call
English sparrow too) and Brewers blackbird.. all very familiar birds
tome. But the kingbird
I've only see out west..
nice clear shots of Kingbird and Flicker - but my favorite is the goofy
shot of the guy on the ground standing on one foot which I think is
number 41138218450

I'm on a trip to Oregon to deal with parental issues. On my way up I
went to a tango event in McCloud (Mt Shasta). Here are a bunch of
photos taken at several places, a rest stop south of Willows, the Sac
wildlife reserve, a casino north of willows, and McCloud.
Someone has already helped me identify the Western Kingbird, and the
flick. If anyone can ID other birds in the set, that would be awesome.
I think that both the black and the brown birds (at the rest stop)
are blackbirds, and that I have a bunch of sparrows from all over.
The pinkish pigeon might be a mourning dove.

After grabbing a snack at Floyd's frosty (surprisingly good burgers
by the way) I saw some hummers and was taking photos of them when
someone told me about the flick in the pole in front of Floyd's. The
photos of the flick, the nest with the metal background and the
hummers were taken with the DA55-300, most of the rest with the sigma
50-500.
If anyone is really curious, the proofset is at:

It is less convenient to do processing on the road, I'm hoping to do
final edits when I get home. In the mean time, I've got a cheap
monitor as a secondary display, and photos on it seem a lot brighter
than on my laptop display (a bit over exposed) so feedback on general
exposure of the photos would be appreciated.
