This is actually a live specimen, not sedated or cooled.
The grass moths are night active, so presumably transfixed by the lights around my macro rig. It was let out after the shoot. :-)

Stacked from 40 exposures (which probably was overkill), using a 150mm f/2.8 and a reversed 75mm f/2.8 on the 645D.

My rig gets new tweaks every few weeks, and this time I'm quite pleased with the lighting setup. Light is from three IKEA spots, diffused through the translucent plastic of a butchered 20L water can.
