Feeling that the knob on K/M/A/F Lenses is really useful, I contacted Pentax Germany.
They have spare Knobs for repairing! Will get two. A small hole (more a notch) has to be drilled into the plastic barrel of the FA lenses to secure the knob. It then has to be glued into place.
