I made the "Maple Pulled Pork Buns" and took them to tonight's pot-luck supper. They were fairly well received - no complaints and no leftovers to bring home. I did manage to snag one for myself. It was different, a bit more spicy than I expected, but good.

I made a few mistakes preparing them, which made it a LOT more work than I thought they'd be. The one big mistake, which added considerably to the difficulty, was defrosting the frozen bread dough too soon. It starts rising as soon as it's thawed and after it's risen it's a lot harder to roll out into the flat rectangle.

And because of the extra work I made for myself, I didn't have time to photograph the finished product before I had to to head out. They weren't as pretty as the ones on the magazine cover, so I'm not too fussed about not getting a photo.

Next time I'll know better, they'll be better looking & I'll get photos.
