"Incense" is my favorite, Boris. I really like "Street Food Vendor" too, but
I'd probably crop the idea way down to focus on the vendor and her wares if it
were my photo: seeking the minimum to put in the frame and bring the context
alive.

Personally, I shoot a lot when I'm traveling, but until I've been to a place a
dozen times or so it's mostly the happy accident that makes the good shots. I
shoot less when I'm nearby home but I see far more interesting photos here and
capture them more consistently.

I'm finding that I really, really like shooting with the Polaroid SX-70 cameras
a lot. The film is quirky and difficult to master, but I love that, when done
right, I have an original print right there with no further work required. My
good friends from Cape Cod were out visiting their daughter and grandkids: we
had lunch yesterday and I brought a tripod, the self-timer, and flash. They
suffered through my setting up and making four exposures, and then were
delighted to have two finished prints in their hands right then and there...
It's a very different mindset from the digital capture world, and even from the
35mm/etc film world. The prints are precious objects and stick around a long
long time, both in your home and in your memory.

Thanks to everyone for their thoughts. I'm making some changes this year,
mostly to my mind. Focusing myself differently with respect to activities and
ideas.

As they say, "Equipment is transitory. Photographs endure."
