Those brought back a painful memory. In my running days I used to take a short cut through a park (before dawn) on my way to the Clubhouse for long Sat. training runs. Now, long distance runners don't lift their feet very much - they tend to shuffle along to conserve energy, so it was only a matter of time before I tripped over an exposed root in the half-darkness & went farming!
