We have a hanging planter which has about a dozen holes around it. I've recently noticed that bumblebees have been landing in the holes to rest at night.
I had to use my phone for this because the K10D doesn't have enough sensitivity. It's quite a heavy crop so it's not too good technically. http://gallery.multi.net.nz/photo/1091/#peso I'm giving some thought to building or buying them a purpose-made bumblebee house / nesting box.
