Just got back from shooting a family portrait. Outdoors in somewhat shady surroundings. I debated between the 90 or 165 leaf shutter so I could do some fill flash. I ended up using only the 165 for 5 rolls (50 frames). I can say that after working some with the 90 and now the 165, that the 165 design is much more foolproof. Having the shutter stay closed after the shot is a surefire reminder to cock the leaf for the next frame. On the 90, I tend to forget once in awhile. Also, sometimes my thumb hits the U/S switch on the bottom of the lens, causing it not to fire when I press the shutter release. Much more fiddley.
I'm hoping things turn out well with it. Bruce - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. To unsubscribe, go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions. Don't forget to visit the Pentax Users' Gallery at http://pug.komkon.org .
