I found it interesting that my DSLR largely sat on the shelf since my daughter was born, because my phone camera is good enough and always at-hand. It's quite common for people to buy a nice camera to photograph their kids but I went in the opposite direction. I read earlier today that a mobile phone has been released which features Hasselblad branding on its camera.
