One of the iconic symbols of Hawai'i is the wa'a, or outrigger canoe. One of the most satisfying experiences here is paddling on the waters of the Pacific, absorbing the scenery, the wildlife, and the serenity.
The experience is perhaps most satisfying in the early morning, when the ocean is truly "pacific." The birds, dolphins and whales are all quite active at that hour, and the quiet is overwhelming.
