I posted a few things, but there were no comments. I commented on a few posts that were made by others. It has, however, been unusually quiet.
Wednesday, after packing food for the Food Bank distribution at Rotary, I took my dog for a long walk in the chilly weather. On my way home, a car drove past displaying blinking red and blue lights. I said to myself, " hope that isn't a volunteer fireman speeding to my house." To my relief, he turned away from our house at the corner. Before I got home, however, my wife notified me that the fireman had been on the way to our rental house. One of the tenants; children had placed a plastic toy on the top of the electric range, causing a smokey fire. The range and the hood were total losses, and the wall and an adjacent countertop were damaged. So, I have spent much o9f the past few days dealing with insurance adjusters, contractors, and appliance stores. Great fun.
