Have two of the M575s in use, a spare, and an older version. All have
worked just fine for me. However, bearings and sensor window do seem to
need periodic cleaning. Track ball pops out easily to enable cleaning
and pops back in with no problem, for me anyway. Went with trackball
some years ago as mouse and pad just didn't work in my preferred workspace.

Sounds like what you describe except the ball isn't red anymore.

I have been using a Logitech trackball for my photo computer for
years, and it is wearing out. It has a red ball operated by one’s

index and second fingers.
What should I replace it with?
I have a Kensington Expert Mouse on my work computer; it has a huge
trackball, four buttons, and a scroll wheel surrounding the track
ball. I tried it on the photo computer and it was awkward.
Other suggestions?
