I had actually just put a camera in my car "just to have one" for the first time in quite a while, when there was a small wildfire on my way to work, so I pulled over and gave the new to me 18-250 a bit of a workout. The full album is here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/albums/72177720319061674/ I have a friend from tango who used to have a photo portraiture business, and she had never done any night photography. We went out searching for dark skies, found some a bit over an hour from here. I used the opportunity to try out the type 3 astrotracer in my K-3 III, and see how it compares with the GPS based astrotracer in the K-1. The answer is much better. Unfortunately the exif data doesn't seem to mention what type of astrotracer was used. Also, it insists on doing a test shot for every frame, even if nothing else moves.
