The Lowveld has had exceptional rainfall the past few months (about 1800mm which amounts to three times the annual average) causing severe flooding and damage. it will take many months to do all the repairs. Several Camps are not yet fully operational and only main roads are accessible. Ann & I decided to do a local recce yesterday - about 20Km in & out. The bush is so thick - you wouln't see a herd of elephants at 50m. We did spot some Buffalo, a Cowned Eagle, some Impalas & a breeding herd of Ellies near the edge of the road.
