Hi Geoff: I might be a year or two out! I know I bought an IBM PC with a 5 or 10Mb drive for my company towards the end of 1983, and added a 20Mb removable drive card (can't remember the brand) within a year. Prior to that, we'd been working with an HP86A system, with all of 64k of RAM and twin floppies as our storage media!
