Alright, I misunderstood the question. I read it as "will DOS-based
Windows (like 3.1 or 95) start from under win2K". I guess I am used too
much to seeing weird stuff here at work...

If you meant "will DOS command line interface still work" -- the answer
is "mostly, yes". Most batch files will keep working (unless they are
trying to deal with hardware, e.g. run fdisk or similar things). Most
DOS based programs will also keep working, unless they try to access
hardware directly (e.g. Norton Commander will work, but give you some
weird behavior and errors; same for Norton Utilities 3.x)

In a nutshell, a "nice" MS-DOS stuff, that doesn't ask for hardware or
"nonstandard" things like EMS and XMS (which is also hardware) will
work. Everything else -- won't.
