I am suggesting that you might consider not touching-up the paint.
(This is a very individual, subjective, personal preference, of
course.)

Personally, I think a black body with "brassing" along the edges is
quite nice looking.  (I will admit, however, that sometimes the
"brassing" on newer bodies - or "coppering", in the case of the M
and A bodies, such as the Super A - may not be quite as attractive
as it is on some of the older bodies.)  I also prefer "stock"
appearance over "modified" appearance - unless the touch-up job were
done "perfectly".  Finally, it is unlikely that the usual consumer
spray paint will wear as well as the original Pentax paint.

In any event, I personally would not, under any circumstances,
consider touching-up the paint on any of my own beloved LX's, Super
A's, or black Program Plus's.  But, as I said, this is a very
personal thing...
