Earlier this year, when I sent the PZ-1 I had just acquired to Pentax
for a tune-up and replacement of the viewfinder eyepiece, they
brought the whole thing up to factory standards, which included
replacing the bottom plate. It did have a small crack in it when I
sent it to them. The new plate, though, seems to be made of a
different quality plastic -- it's not as shiny and seems to be just a
bit less brittle. Has anyone else noticed this with PZ-1/PZ-1p
replacement bottom plates?
