Most of the people I know would classify a Belgian Shepherd or a Bernese as a big dog. My Rottie bitch is 90 pounds and 27 inches at the shoulder, my male is 28 inches and 100 pounds. I don't think of them as big dogs, more like chihuahuas. I had both a Belgian and a Bernese in a couple of obedience classes a while back. Nice dogs. Especially the Bernese and the Belgian.
