FWIIW Sigma has produced 28-70 mm lenses for Leica. So they are not the Asian Zeiss (Kyocera is) but they can do a good job if they want to. And the workmanship of the EX line (like the 105 Macro I have) is really very good indeed. And nobody knows what they have made for other brands.
