grainy vs sharper scans?

I was wondering what is your opinion on which is a better scan. I have scanned the same negative with light & medium dust removal respectively. However, I have found the "light" one is sharper but has coarser grain, while the "medium" one is blurrer but has less visible grain. The problem is, coarser grain one would appear even coarser once sharpened. For whose who have scanned and print your own photos, which should I keep?
