indeed, I haven't noticed that until just now when I tried. It's pretty sad but I was used that Eclipse CVS integration automatically skipped derived resources such as bin dir. But even Egit user guide mentions it http://wiki.eclipse.org/EGit/User_Guide

I was looking at the git repository after I created a patch of 1MB. In git repository there is a .cvsignore at the root folder. Within the plugins folders there is no .gitignore.
