Only got a couple of error messages about two packages that failed to install properly. Don't recall which ones they were, wrote it down somewhere. When I have this info I'll post it to the list.

Did you catch what the package failures were? Did SAX2 install? Can you tweak your X components through Yast or did your have to manually configure XF86Config to get a non-German keyboard?

The reason I ask is because I have done the installation on a Dell GX260
and and old PII Vectra and ended up manually configuring X on both due
to SAX2 package failure. I suspected this was either due to the lame
video controllers in both systems or Novell might have a little problem
with the package. It would be helpful to know which I'm dealing with.

Steve,

I am certain that SAX2 was not among the two packages that failed to install.

My graphics card is a G-Force FX 5500 128 bit w. 256MB DDR using a DVI connection to my new 19" TFT monitor. So far, no need for me to manually reconfigure X11. I think the installer correctly set of US keyboard for me.

If you have an amd64, I'd like to think that you won't have these type of problems.
