So who's been working on things that would translate well to the big screen (that is, our projector at FreeGeek)? Projects? Hacks? Ponderings? Rants?
In continuing our grand tradition of presenting things other than Ruby, I could give a demo and overview of Mercurial (aka hg), a very cool, lightweight, distributed version control system. I use it on all my (non-svn) projects, and even got it working with Capistrano recently for Rails deployment.
