Hi, When I upgraded my system recently to php7 I found the pecl memcache module was the only software that wasn't available that I was using. It seemed easy enough to convert it, and so I'm running it now. Seems fine. I did contact the previous maintainers but I guess they aren't around any longer.
I can certainly maintain memcache, and possibly memcached since it's similar, and if there are other modules that aren't yet converted, I can probably help out.
