        Another suggestion that I have used is to create a print
preview, which might give you an idea of where the offending component
might be in relation to the desired parts. I recently had this happen
and it tried to create a 41-page print for a 7x9 PCB. The second thing I
used in solving the problem was to select all, copy and then paste to a
new board. While holding the copied selection, you'll get an overall
boundary, which you can then bring into view by zooming out until you
see the whole of the selected area. This should allow you to scroll to
the offending area. This solved a problem similar to yours as the
component in question had somehow gone way into the negative quadrant. I
believe this also was related to an update board after the initial
component placement had been accomplished.
