I never use the PROTEL 2 format because it takes even more time to load and process the lines used as feilds which are disgrarded in PCB. Incidently when I broke the netlist down to two files, it loaded in several seconds verses 30- 45 minutes to crash time. That same 128K lines netlist in Protel2 results on 35K lines in Tango format, maybe you're right about the netlist' size limit. I don't have a larger one right now to make a test, but thanks for the tip (about splitting the netlist) anyway.
