PS: In a few cases it can be used in incoming inspection to check hole diameters. This is rarely done, except on some critical military or space boards.

Dale Broemer wrote:Hello,
I'm wondering what the norm is now days for sending panelized gerber files to your board houses? We normally include all our fab instructions on the gerber layers before we send the package out. I'm experimenting using Cam350 now, and find that after panelization, it's difficult to add back to the gerbers the unique text that I had to delete before panelization. With Camtastic, I was able to place the text off to the side and pick what I wanted panelized, then move the text back into place around the panel. I can't seem to this with Cam350 or Gerbtool. Sooo, I'm wondering what others do. I'd like to keep the paper trail down to a minimum.
Also, does everyone still include drill guides as well? Do the vendors still really ever use this file anymore?
Cheers! Dale
