Terry,
Just a suggestion, do you have some software that will convert your
drawn poly into a true solid poly? Not sure if Camtastic will do this, read it
in and then write it out with the alternate polygon structure. All you want to
do is convert one or the other and converting the drawn polygon is probably
more reliable.

GerberswithProtel )

I am faced with a similar problem. I need to compare 2 gerber spins of the
same PCB design.

But with 1, it is designed in 99SE & the polygon fills (many used) are done
with overlapping traces.

In my 2nd, I converted the original to DXP & changed all fills to solid
polygons.

Well, when you generate the gerbers, & view for diffs with a gerber viewer,
it displays the same shape of fill as a difference, as one is made with
traces, the other is a solid fill.

I really don't care, as the net end result, is what I want; a solid piece of
copper.

I need a gerber viewer/compare which ignores the details & shows me the 2
diffs only.

Has anyone else ( many I am sure ) had this same dilemma & how did you
overcome it ???

Head scratching me.....

Regards
TDK
