Guys, Guys, Guys,
This is just another whine session that shows you haven't read the
available instructions or bothered to ask anybody about your issues/problems.
I am a member of the Altium forum and like Ton says, I have not had to
"log-in" since my first visit to the new forum site. It is managed through
cookies and if you had read the initial comments/instructions about the new
forum you would know this and never have to log-in after your first visit if
you are properly configured.
Yes, it is not as simple and convenient as the former list-server but
the one and only inconvenience is when you want to reply to posts. If you just
want to monitor the forum, there is no inconvenience at all.
I also believe that Altium is planning to return to the former
list-server format completely, remember (oops sorry, I forgot that you don't
read any instructive posts/messages fully) that they were forced into adapting
this present format prematurely just to keep things running due to a hacker
compromising the former list-server forum.
So if you are through whining mindlessly about things and are
interested in observing the Altium DXP forum, I would suggest that you go back
and read the available information and set yourself up correctly for how you
want to interface with the Altium forum. OK?
As for Nukien's (Dean's) original comments, you have now heard from at
least 3 of us that were granted access to the Altium forum without owning DXP,
simply by making a civilized/sincere request for access. So let's make sure
that issue is put to rest for now, at least until somebody is refused access.
Sincerely,
Brad Velander

Hello Mike,
I feel the same, logon should be automatic otherwise you need to keep an
administration or repeatedly ask for a forgotten password.
In the new Altium forum, I am logged in automatically. I don't know who
remembers, but from each email message I can click a link and am immediately
on the thread. Or I forget the forum and click another link to reply (like
on this forum).
But due to the easy link to the forum, many users don't quote the original
anymore.
