Hello All,

I have two minor problems using DXP schematic and wanted to know if anyone has
any work arounds. The first involves using the parameter manager to create
and modify parts in the library. I use Excel to move, copy and paste fields
to match my schematic fields. Using a combination of Excel and the parameter
manager I can create hundreds of symbols with the correct values and part
numbers all at once. I.E. I can paste all the all the values and part numbers
from a pdf datasheet for all of Digikeys Panasonic SMD capacitors as easily as
creating one component. The parameter manger is very powerful for library
application.

Here is the problem...All of the fields in the parameter manger can be copied
and edited except the library reference name. The Library ref name can be
copied and edited with the part menus open but if the parameters manger is used
to copy and paste, the entire file becomes corrupted then all of the work is
lost. Has any one had this experience?

Second, from the schematic I wish to update ll of the components from the
libraries For the components that do not match, I wish to write report ,
Is that possible? to get a report out of the errors or non matched components.
I tried every combination and please do not reply until you have actually
tried this.
