footprint lbraries.
If you don't like Protel's supplied footprints, you are free to edit them, or
to make your own - but you should probably copy any libraries you want to
modify to a new name, and do your changes on the copy - that way, any future
library upgrades you get won't over-write your changes.
If you do much work with Protel you _will_ (unless you are very lucky) have to
make some of your own schematic components and pcb footprints, so you may as
well learn to use the library editors now.
