I know you are interested in avionics and RoHS. I just
opened my SMT magazine (November 2005) and there is an
article on page 12 "Selling to Military Markets After
RoHS" by Craig Hunter.

A short crop from the article:
" The military, medical and communications
infrastructure markets are exempt from RoHS compliance
- giving these mission-critical industries time to
test lead-free parts and determine how they will
affect applications and operations."
"In the case of critical space and avionics programs
that have been using tin/lead soldering systems for
many years, tin/lead is a proven method. Going to
lead-free circuit board would mean risking a lot of
unknowns because aerospace OEMs don't have experience
and history of how lead-free part will operate in
those conditions."

The bad new is that there are no details or document
mentioned but the good news is that you can contact

look for more details.
