Yep - that too, however I should note that I found a bug with the '*'. SOMETIMES (not always) if there are no conductive layers turned on, hitting the '*' key will freeze Protel, forcing a restart. This doesn't make any difference if you are in Single Layer mode or not however...

I use it for final checks on a board - for example, I turn on all layers and Single Layer mode and step through each layer, giving it an eye-over (use the + and - keys to step). Great for checking the soldermask layers, if you have primitives on it, etc... Also, when routing dense boards it reduces clutter on the screen - turn on all your routing layers and no mess, no fuss! (Although it would be good to see the rat's nest sometimes...) Just use the +/- keys to flip through layers as you normally would. Geez, I sound like an Altium sales-person... :P There's plenty of other uses which I can't think of now - it becomes second nature after you've used it a bit... Well for me anyway... All I see is each layer as I select the tab. (Or is the undocumented feature very, very, very late night user input error ??!!)
