Sorry ... a bit off topic.

Check http://www.resellerratings.com/ to reduce risk when buying a new PC (Alienware isn't rated too highly). In particular, read reviews where problems occurred.

I had the same concerns so I bought an Alienware laptop. 2 weeks after this screaming fast beautiful system was up and running the hard drive system failed. My 3 year on site support contract meant nothing. 3 weeks of calls 3 times a day and no cable to repair the problem. The cable was not the problem. I finally had to do a chargeback with the credit card company to get a refund. I will not recommend them for a system you need to do serious work on.
