That's because the nets aren't in the schematic. Put 'em in! With Tango DOS Schematic/PCB, I created a pin symbol called "NC." I would plop this down on all unconnected pins, making explicit that I intended to keep it unconnected, which is a good idea (and which particular function is satisfied by the no-connect directive). (Sometimes I'd also add an extra page to the schematic with extra stuff like this.) This would create a net "NC," which I would strip from the net list. However, if you've got vias there, you *could* create a dummy power plane to connect them.... So everything would be explicit. Deliberately unconnected pins would get a net with a very identifiable name. The schematic would reload without incident. DRC would be complete. Just don't fab that plane! I was thinking that if there were a special net to be used for unconnected pins, perhaps it would be automatically generated by the Directive, and DRC would ignore that net (but *would*, instead, report any pins connected by it in error), it would be better. There *might* be a way to do this trick with Rules, but I doubt it. ____________________________________________________________ You are subscribed to the PEDA discussion forum To Post messages: mailto:[email protected] Unsubscribe and Other Options: http://techservinc.com/mailman/listinfo/peda_techservinc.com Browse or Search Old Archives (2001-2004): http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] Browse or Search Current Archives (2004-Current): http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]
