Hi Paul, No bug I'm afraid. Even more bad news is that there's no way around it apart from tedious work. However, someone (Mattias Ericson to be exact) has done a tool to get around this. It's a part of a server called PCB Tools.
I have used it successfully for multi channel designs in the past, but not for a long time. Once you get the hang of it, it saves a lot of mind numbing work. I'll email it to you if you want.... There's also another feature in the same server to swap 2 components - I use that one all the time - VERY handy! Hello, Skip to the bottom line if you want my question. I'm trying to create an I2C 16 way port expander. It has 16 identical high current driver outputs. I have finally got my method of getting the schematic with 16 subsheets to go to the PCB sorted out. Now comes the "layout one high current driver and paste 16 times" using paste special Unfortunately I have the first components on one side, second components on the other so when I paste I want the increment to be 2. When I put 2 in the paste special array "text increment" the increment is still 1. Is this an SE99 bug? How do I get around it? ______________________________________________________ The contents of this e-mail are privileged and/or confidential to the named recipient and are not to be used by any other person and/or organisation.
