Diego,
I've not imported PCAD schematics to DXP but having done the same
operations with both PADs and OrCAD there is only two things I can think of.
1) When you try to open (import) the file, are you setting the File Type
in the "Choose Document to Open" window to "P-CAD V16, V17 ASCII Schematic
(*.SCH)"? You must set the proper file type to reflect the type of file you are
importing. (Note: I am using DXP 2004 SP4, so the supported version(s) may be
different than your DXP 2002 SP2 install.)
2) This may be an issue of the actual file versions, P-CAD ASCII versions.
Can you make sure that your P-CAD ASCII files are the correct version to import
to DXP? (Whatever version (or earlier) your file open dialog says it will
import.)

Subject: [PEDA] PCAD Importing
Importance: High
I have PCAD Schematics and libraries in ASCII format that Protel DXP
2002 SP2 does not import, when I try to do that in case of a library it
opens as a text file, when I try with a schematic it opens as a blank
sch.
Note that when I try to import PCAD PCB libraries it works.
Any one can help me?
Thanks and regards,
