Laurie,
I found the two .dft files in:
C:\Documents and Settings\(MyUserName)\Application Data\Altium2004_SP4
where '(MyUserName)' replaces my login name (as it suggests). There were 
also versions in C:\...SP3 which were older and were apparently replaced 
when I installed SP4.
The other files you mentioned were not found.
