Thanks to aj I find that all this time it was a simple ERC warning. The answer popped up from a Google of the error message;
<http://www.altium.com/files/AltiumDesigner6/LearningGuides/TR0142%20Project %20Com> <http://www.altium.com/files/AltiumDesigner6/LearningGuides/TR0142%20Project %20Com> Open the component pins dialogue, default output is Passive, set to Output. Having said that I also realize that the simulator ignores the pin atribute despite the warnings so this is more for the sake of tidiness. A lot more reference material to be found at the above..
