At the 8th UNILOG, which will take place next December in Cusco, Peru, there will be a workshop on *Rationality and Social Media * Someone posts something on social media with the aim of showing discontent with something or someone else; the post goes viral. Lately, that has often happened but not much has been published on how this issue may affect academic practices like that of publishing a paper in a scientific journal that may lead to negative viral reactions. This workshop’s aim is to tackle the rationality (if any) behind this phenomenon. Send a one page abstract by October 15, more details here: https://sites.google.com/view/unilog2025/workshops/rationality-and-social-media Organizer: - Felipe G.A. Moreira, University of São Paulo, SP, Brazil Keynote Speaker - Flawê de Lara Bone, ESPM and Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil "The Cancel Culture: a Cancer in the Body of Rationality?"
