PT Aquaria Shipping is experienced and reliable Shipping Company providing
offshore and marine terminal support services.
PT. Aquaria Shipping is a Company with a strong local knowledge and
international expertise. Being established in 1974, the Company has been
chartering vessels to the Oil and Gas Industry supporting their drilling
rigs and other offshore installations.
Due to our progressive expansion, we are seeking highly motivated
individuals to join our innovative team for the position as mentioned below.
*Marine Superintendent*
Balikpapan (Kalimantan Timur)
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and implement the vessels and branch office compliance to ISM,
HSE, ISPS code.
- Maintain and implement the companys Quality and Safety Management
System.
- Investigate non-conformance, accidents, incidents and take corrective
actions
- Maintain a strong connection between Management and the crew at sea.
- Carry out the selection and recruitment of qualified crews in
compliance with Standards Training Certification and Watch keeping (STCW).
- Oversee the crew scheduling to ensure safe manning at all times.
- Conduct scheduled vessel visits for training, inspection and audits.
- Develop vessel and office procedures and induction checklists.
*Requirements:*
- Diploma in maritime / nautical or other related studies with 3 to 5
years work experience as a Marine Superintendent and/or equivalent sailing
experience as Master or Chief Officer with minimum Class 2 COC.
- Good knowledge of local and international maritime rules, regulations,
codes and guidelines.
- Possess strong communication & interpersonal skills and is meticulous,
organised and resourceful having a high degree of urgency.
- Team player / people manager with high principles and honesty beyond
question.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Self-confidence, motivation and goal-oriented with a high degree of
urgency.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Proactive with strong interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Willing to be placed in Balikpapan and travel to other work locations
