Ah, it's true: many lefties/academic types don't have a sense of humor. Surely only academics would debate an issue of where Marx went wrong and who said he went wrong before actually reading the article hyped up in an advertising "frenzy" by the Library of Congress Magazine. Reminds me of the scene a couple of years back when the "cultural elite" (eg Darryl Hannah (sic)) were running around talking about all the great books they'd been reading based on only a reading of book reviews. (Shades of many of the reactions to Murray's The Bell Curve?). In the LoC article case, it's even a shade worse -- there's not even an AUTHOR or TITLE, let alone a REVIEW of the article!!!!
