i know that the North Countries are not particularly interested in the French decision to resume testing and that most of the big nations (US, Russia and UK) are just champing at the bit to get in there and blast the hell out of the world with their French mates, but in OZ we see things a lot differently. latest news (following last weeks burning down of the french embassy in perth) is: 1) don't plan on catching a french ship, boat or other transport that requires you to land in australia. the unions bless their souls have banned them from landing. that includes cargo too. 2) don't plan on having any tender for government contracts read if it is liaison with or from a french company. already $A1 billion is at stake. 3) if you plan to see OZ athletes at the South Pacific games you will be disappointed. they are being held in french polynesia and who would go there from OZ? 4) if you plan to get a visa to visit OZ in france you had better be quick, ambassador to france is about to be withdrawn. so some countries care. and the gov't initially pulled the same indifference as the northern nations. but the OZ people have been so united against this in the last 2 weeks that stronger official measures are being introduced by the day. kind regards bill #### ## William F.
